Self-hosted trading journal (Go API + React web)

← Markets and trading
TraderMemos: self-hosted trading journal. Track your trades and P&L on your own infrastructure.

In simple English

TraderMemos is a private diary for your stock, crypto, or forex trades. You run it on your own hardware so no third party sees your financial records. It helps you spot mistakes, track your win rate, and calculate your profits. The software is free to download and run yourself. You only pay for the server space you choose to use.

What it is

TraderMemos is a self-hosted trading journal with a Go backend and a React frontend. It stores your trade history, calculates performance statistics, and runs inside a Docker container.

What it is good for

Active traders who want to track their performance across multiple brokers without paying a monthly subscription to a cloud service.

Good
  • Own your complete trading history in a local SQLite database or Postgres (a relational database that stores information in rows and columns).
  • Imports data from nine common brokers, MetaTrader statements, and Interactive Brokers Flex queries.
  • Includes a bar-replay backtester to test strategies against past market data.
Watch for
  • Requires Docker (a way to run a program inside its own sealed box, so it cannot break anything else on your server) and basic command-line knowledge to self-host.
  • AGPL-3.0 licence (a legal agreement that forces you to share your source code if you modify it and let people use it over a network) may restrict commercial modifications.
  • Mobile apps are in beta and require connection to your own running server instance.
