robin_stocks: Python trading library. Connects your scripts to financial brokerages.

In simple English

This tool lets you write Python code to buy and sell stocks, options, and crypto automatically. It talks to your brokerage account so you do not have to click buttons on a screen. You can check prices, download tax papers, and build your own trading bot. It costs nothing to download, but you need a funded trading account to use it. If the broker changes their website or security rules, your code might stop working suddenly.

What it is

A Python (a programming language for general tasks) library (a collection of pre-written code that you can use in your own programs) that interacts with broker application programming interfaces (ways for different computer programs to talk to each other). It supports multiple trading platforms including stock and crypto services.

What it is good for

Solo builders who want to create custom trading strategies, fetch real-time market data, or automate routine investment tasks without using a paid financial service.
