In simple English
This tool lets you manage your TradingView alerts using an AI assistant like Claude. You can create new strategy alerts, check which ones are paused, or delete old ones by asking in plain language. It connects directly to your TradingView account using your browser session cookies. There is no official TradingView API, so this project uses the same private endpoints as the web site. You need a paid TradingView plan to use strategy alerts, and your account could be flagged if you abuse it.
What it is
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server written in JavaScript that exposes TradingView alert functions as tools for AI clients. It handles symbol resolution, Pine strategy metadata extraction, and asynchronous state confirmation.
What it is good for
Solo builders and traders who run automated trading bots and want to manage their Pine strategy alerts through chat commands instead of clicking around the TradingView web interface.
- Manages the full alert lifecycle including creation, listing, pausing, resuming, and deletion.
- Extracts strategy input defaults automatically so your alerts actually fire.
- Includes a test suite with 58 offline tests and a safe smoke test for live accounts.
- Requires valid session cookies from your logged-in TradingView browser session, which expire periodically.
- Relies on undocumented private endpoints that could break if TradingView changes its web interface.
- Deleting alerts or misconfiguring strategy inputs can cause missed trades or permanent loss of alert settings.
