bekkaze/abusebox

Open-source project to monitor IPs & domains against 60+ blacklists, AbuseIPDB, DNS, SSL, DMARC, and more. Self-hosted, no vendor lock-in.

← Running in production

In simple English

This tool checks if your website, server IP or domain name is hiding on any spam blacklists. It watches over sixty blacklists and checks SSL security certificates, DNS records and email settings. If something breaks or a server goes down, it sends an alert to your email or chat app. You run it on your own server, so no outside company sees your data or charges you a monthly fee. It takes about five minutes to start with Docker.

What it is

A self-hosted dashboard that monitors domain names and server addresses against spam blacklists, abuse databases and security checks. It runs scheduled checks in the background and sends alerts when an asset gets listed or a certificate expires.

What it is good for

Solo builders and small teams who manage their own mail servers or web applications and need to know immediately if their IP addresses end up on a spam blacklist.

Good
  • Checks over sixty blacklists and AbuseIPDB reputation scores in one place.
  • Runs fully on your own server with Docker, keeping your data private.
  • Sends alerts through email, Slack, Discord or custom webhooks.
Watch for
  • Requires a server or local machine that stays on to run scheduled checks.
  • Some strict blacklist providers block public resolvers, needing custom DNS setup.
  • Initial setup requires basic familiarity with command-line tools and Docker.
