Gainium Docker Setup: crypto trading platform. Orchestrates eighteen microservices and databases.

In simple English

This tool sets up a complete cryptocurrency trading platform on your own computer or server with a single command. It runs eighteen different parts at once, including databases, price feeds, trading bots, and a web dashboard. You need a server with at least 4 GB of memory and 5 GB of free disk space to run it. It costs nothing for the software itself, but you need your own exchange accounts and API keys to trade. Running it takes some technical knowledge of Docker and server maintenance.

What it is

A Docker Compose configuration that pulls and runs eighteen pre-built container images for the Gainium trading platform. It wires together MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, several trading bot services, an API, and a Next.js web frontend.

What it is good for

Solo traders and developers who want to self-host the Gainium automated trading platform instead of paying for the cloud version.

Good
  • Brings up eighteen microservices, databases, and a web dashboard with a single docker-compose command.
  • Includes dedicated services for DCA, grid, and combination trading bots out of the box.
  • Provides helper scripts for encryption keys and password resets.
Watch for
  • Demands at least 4 GB of RAM and 5 GB of disk space to run all eighteen containers.
  • Exposing internal ports incorrectly can create security risks, such as open proxy validators.
  • Requires command-line management for user password resets since there is no automated email recovery flow on self-hosted setups.
Replaces

Manual multi-container deployments and custom trading bot orchestration setups.

Works well with

Docker Desktop and a reverse proxy like Nginx or Caddy.
