In simple English
This is a desktop program for Windows that changes voices in audio files, videos, or live microphone streams. It uses a popular artificial intelligence voice technique called RVC. You can use it to dub videos, transform songs, or speak in a different voice during a live call. It runs entirely on your own computer so your files stay private. The software itself is free, but you need a Windows computer with an NVIDIA graphics card and enough disk space.
What it is
VoxWeave is a local-first voice conversion workstation built with Python, QML, and PySide6. It wraps around Retrieval-based Voice Conversion models to provide offline file conversion, real-time microphone changes, and batch processing.
What it is good for
Content creators and solo builders who want to change voices in media files or stream with a modified voice without sending audio to a paid cloud service.
- Runs completely offline on your own hardware for full data privacy.
- Supports both batch file processing and live microphone voice changing.
- Includes a command-line interface and MCP server for automation and external agents.
- Only officially tested and supported on Windows with an NVIDIA graphics card.
- Requires a large amount of free disk space (at least 12 GB for the full setup).
- Does not include voice training or model creation tools, only inference.
