In simple English
Your email inbox fills up with newsletters you never read. This script runs inside your Google account to find those emails. It clicks the unsubscribe links for you automatically. You do not need to pay anyone or install extra software on your computer. It keeps your data private because it stays inside your own Google Drive.
What it is
An open-source JavaScript (a programming language that runs in web browsers and servers) script that reads your Gmail messages and follows their unsubscribe links. It logs all your actions in a Google Sheet (an online spreadsheet tool made by Google).
What it is good for
Anyone who wants to clean up their personal or work inbox without giving a third-party company access to their emails.
Status
No code changes since 2025-04-04.
- Runs entirely inside your own Google account.
- Does not sell your data or read your private messages.
- Saves hours of manual clicking on old mailing lists.
- Requires manual setup in Google Apps Script (a cloud scripting language for building lightweight apps in Google Workspace).
- Google may limit how many emails a script can process in one day.
- Depends on mailing lists having working unsubscribe headers.
