Guided Workspace Setup and Chrome Extension Availability
This release gives every new workspace a guided setup path, so you can connect your local folders, confirm GRASPPY is ready, and start working without guessing what to do next.
- Guided onboarding is now built into GRASPPY. New workspaces show a clear setup checklist until the workspace is ready.
- Project Root and Data Vault setup are easier to verify. GRASPPY now shows whether the selected root folder, export vault, and local mirror are connected.
- Workspace setup can repair common starter issues. If starter projects or local paths need attention, GRASPPY can fix them from the onboarding screen.
- Secondary workspaces are properly isolated. Each workspace gets its own starter structure under the folder you selected.
- Claude and Codex local sync is part of onboarding. The setup flow prepares project-local folders for AI tools without asking you to type long system paths.
- The GRASPPY Chrome extension is now approved. You can install it from the Chrome Web Store to capture supported AI conversations more easily.
What you will see
When a workspace is not fully ready, GRASPPY shows an Onboarding item in the sidebar with your progress. Each step explains what to do, what GRASPPY is checking, and when the step is complete. Once all checks pass, onboarding moves out of the way and remains available from Settings.
Why it matters
Local AI workflows depend on the right folder structure. This release makes that setup visible and repeatable, so plans, docs, prompts, skills, memory, research, and Context Vault files stay tied to the workspace folder you chose.
